The Robert W. Johnson Community Center received $2.5 million in Maryland's capital budget that will be used to help renovate the center facility in Hagerstown's historic Jonathan Street neighborhood.
The building at 109 W. North Ave., built in 1888, was originally home to the old North Street School until 1947, when the center converted to a YMCA, according to the center’s website.
